Job Description:
As an Underwriter you will be responsible for conducting a financial analysis, and making sound decisions regarding funding offers. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the financial health of our clients and mitigating risks associated with funding. The successful candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Merchant Application Review:
Financial Analysis:
Review and analyze merchant bank statements and financial documents.
Identify patterns, trends, and performance indicators.
Assess the financial health and stability of businesses.
Pricing Offers:
Determine appropriate funding amounts and terms based on financial analysis.
Calculate pricing and offer terms in line with company guidelines.
Present funding offers to merchants.
Offer Follow-Up:
Communicate with Brokers to discuss funding offers.
Address merchant inquiries and negotiate terms when necessary.
Ensure timely follow-up and response to merchant requests.
Bank Login and Merchant Interview:
Facilitate the bank login process to access merchant bank statements.
Conduct merchant interviews to gather additional information when needed.
Verify the authenticity of provided information.
Risk Assessment:
Evaluate risk factors associated with funding requests.
Make informed decisions regarding approval or decline of funding applications.
Implement risk mitigation strategies.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of underwriting decisions and communication with merchants.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field (preferred).
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
