Qualifications:

Education Director:

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field

• Valid New York State teaching certification in early childhood or childhood grades

• Minimum of two years’ experience as a group teacher with children under six years of age

• Strong leadership and organizational skills

Group Teacher:

• Option 1: Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field, plus valid NY State teaching certification

• Option 2: Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field, plus two years’ experience teaching children under six

• Option 3: Bachelor’s degree in any field, plus one year of experience teaching children up to third grade, and enrollment in a study plan leading to early childhood certification within seven years

Assistant Teacher:

• At least 18 years of age

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)

• Passion for working with young children and supporting their development

Additional Requirements for All Positions:

• Completion of required health and safety trainings, including:

• Child Abuse and Maltreatment Identification and Reporting

• Infectious Disease Control

• Safety Plan & Emergency Procedures

• SIDS/Safe Sleep/Shaken Baby Syndrome Awareness

• Allergic Reaction Management

• Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification

• Up-to-date immunizations as per Article 47 requirements, including MMR, Varicella, and Tdap

• Successful completion of background checks and fingerprinting as mandated by the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene
