Job Description

At Empeon, we’re building a best-in-class HCM platform tailored to the healthcare and homecare industries. Our platform serves thousands of companies, and we’re growing quickly. To support that growth, we’re looking for a talented UX Team Lead to join our team. 

 We are looking for a hands-on UX/UI Team Lead who will own and lead the UX/UI design across the entire Empeon platform

 You will: 

  • Define and drive the UX and UI strategy across all products. 
  • Design user flows, task flows, lo-fi wireframes, hi-fi wireframes, and prototypes. 
  • Establish a robust and scalable design system to ensure a consistent, intuitive experience across the platform 
  • Conduct user research, gather feedback, and turn insights into actionable design improvements. 
  • Lead usability improvements at both the workflow and interface level. 
  • Balancing the ability to constantly and consistently deliver small features while working on larger projects 

 This is a hands-on leadership role: You will personally design and set the UX/UI direction for the entire Empeon platform

What We’re Looking For 

  • 5+ years of experience in UX and UI design for SaaS or B2B software products. 
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating complex, user-centered product design — including user flows, task flows, lo-fi wireframes, hi-fi wireframes, and prototypes
  • Expertise in Figma
  • Experience creating and maintaining robust and scalable design systems
  • Skilled in user research, usability testing, and translating insights into actionable improvements. 
  • Ability to balance business goals, user needs, and technical constraints
  • Partner with stakeholders & product owners to translate business needs while balancing users’ needs into intuitive experiences
  • Comfortable working independently as well as collaborating closely with product and engineering teams. 
  • Strong documentation capabilities. 
  • Conduct design reviews and provide UX-focused feedback to ensure a seamless, consistent experience. 
  • Stay current with UX/UI best practices and industry trends – introduce new ideas and improvements. 
  • Set and enforce UX/UI standards and best practices across all Empeon products. 
  • Bonus: Experience in the HR, payroll, or healthcare space.
