About the Role
A well-established organization in Brooklyn is seeking an experienced Program Director to lead and expand multiple government-funded programs. This role is ideal for a respected leader who combines strong operational skills with empathy, clear communication, and a genuine commitment to serving families and students.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development, expansion, and day-to-day operations of multiple programs
- Ensure programs are structured, organized, and process-driven
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with parents, providing guidance and reassurance
- Maintain strong working relationships with government agencies and representatives
- Ensure full compliance with all regulatory and funding requirements
- Oversee Carter-funded and other government-supported programs
- Manage and grow services including:
- Respite
- CommHab
- Family Support Services
- Fiscal Intermediary
- Early Intervention (EI)
- UPK
- ACS
- ABA
- SETSS
Long-Term Vision
This role will play a key part in establishing and scaling an after-school center offering integrated services, including Respite, ABA, UPK, NYC tuition vouchers, and on-site OT, PT, and Speech Therapy. The focus is on maximizing enrollment and funding while delivering services tailored to each student’s needs.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Program Director or senior program leader
- Strong communication skills with parents, staff, and government entities
- Solid understanding of compliance and government-funded programs
- Experience working with Carter funding
- Highly organized, approachable, and results-driven leadership style
