Our client, a construction supply company in Williamsburg, is seeking a detail-oriented Estimator with expertise in estimating for construction projects.
The ideal candidate will manage office operations while expertly handling the estimating process, including compiling materials, labor, and other necessary information to provide accurate quotes to real estate developers and contractors.
Responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day office operations, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
Accurately compile all necessary information, such as materials and labor costs, to prepare detailed and competitive estimates for clients.
Collaborate with the sales team to ensure estimates align with client expectations and project specifications.
Maintain up-to-date records of estimates and related documents for easy reference and reporting.
Respond promptly to client inquiries and provide updates on the status of estimates.
Manage communication between clients, suppliers, and the internal team to ensure accurate and timely information exchange.
Assist in the development and refinement of estimating processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Support the office in other administrative tasks as needed to ensure overall productivity.
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in office management, preferably within the construction or real estate industry.
Strong background in construction estimating, with the ability to compile accurate and detailed quotes.
Proficiency in using estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, to manage data and calculations.
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with a keen attention to detail.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with clients and team members.
Ability to work independently and make informed decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of construction materials and labor costs is essential to provide accurate estimates.
Experience working in a customer-facing role, with a focus on providing excellent service.
