Job Summary:
We are seeking a to support our purchasing team in sourcing and procuring high-quality food products. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the purchasing process, maintaining accurate records, and providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in sourcing and procuring food products from suppliers
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, prices, and inventory levels
- Verify invoices and receipts for accuracy and completeness
- Communicate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure timely delivery of products
- Assist in maintaining supplier relationships and negotiating prices
Requirements:
- 1-2 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or a related field
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Familiarity with food distribution industry and HACCP regulations an asset
