Job Description
A busy dairy restaurant is looking for a steady, hands-on person to keep our prep operation sharp and our standards uncompromised.
This is a role for someone who wants to be genuinely part of a place — who takes pride when things run beautifully and takes it personally when they don't.
What the Job Really Is
- You'll be the one keeping prep organized, on-schedule, and done properly.
- You'll make sure there's a clear plan for the day and that the team is working to it, so the kitchen isn't scrambling and nothing gets missed.
- You'll work with your hands — this is a prep role as much as a leadership one — and you'll bring the kind of discipline that keeps food costs honest: enough prep, never too much; clean and tidy, never wasteful.
- You'll also own the practical side of what comes into the kitchen — receiving deliveries, checking product, and giving our produce the careful, thorough inspection our standards demand.
- And you'll safeguard our kashrus. Our systems are well established and run smoothly, so this isn't about reinventing anything — it's about being someone we trust completely to keep those standards exactly where they are.
The Kind of Person We Want- Experience is a must — you've spent real time in a professional kitchen and you carry the standing to serve as mashgiach.
- But just as important is the temperament: humble, dependable, allergic to ego, and happiest when you're in the thick of it.
- The right person doesn't guard a job title; they look for whatever needs doing and do it.
- They think like an owner, treat the restaurant's money like their own, and feel the wins and the losses right alongside us.
