About the Role

We are seeking a vision-driven, high-performing executive clinician to join our senior leadership team as the Chief of Clinical Services. In this pivotal role, you will serve as the chief architect and strategic leader of our entire clinical enterprise, elevating our care standards, driving population health strategies, and championing person-centered delivery across all programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Clinical Leadership: Direct and mentor clinical department leaders while shaping agency-wide healthcare strategies, standards of practice, and clinical protocols that advance organizational goals.
• Population Health & Risk Stratification: Oversee population-level health initiatives; design and implement proactive risk stratification protocols to identify vulnerable individuals and deliver targeted clinical interventions.
• Incident Governance & Risk Mitigation: Provide top-level oversight of all incident review processes, ensuring thorough root-cause investigations, pattern analysis, and actionable corrective strategies.
• Quality Improvement & Data Analytics: Track, evaluate, and interpret key clinical metrics to foster continuous quality improvement (QI) and inform executive decision-making.
• Regulatory Compliance & Agency Relations: Serve as the primary regulatory expert and liaison for OPWDD, Health Home, and Medicaid standards. Lead the agency during external audits, compliance reviews, and state-level inquiries.
• Strategic Partnership & Representation: Build robust, collaborative relationships with healthcare networks, managed care entities, government officials, and community providers.
• Executive Collaboration: Work directly with the CEO and executive leadership to align clinical initiatives with organizational expansion, budget planning, and workforce development.
• Complex Clinical Advisory: Act as the internal subject matter expert on high-complexity medical, behavioral, and care coordination challenges.

Qualifications & Clinical Requirements

• Active NYS Clinical License Required: Active, unrestricted New York State license as an RN, LCSW, LMHC, Licensed Psychologist, Nurse Practitioner (NP), or equivalent healthcare credential.
• Advanced Degree: Master’s degree in a clinical discipline, nursing, healthcare administration, or a related field strongly preferred.
• Executive Track Record: Minimum of 5+ years of progressive executive management experience leading clinical divisions and service delivery teams.
• Domain Expertise: Extensive experience within OPWDD systems, Health Home models, Managed Care (MCOs), or specialized healthcare environments.
• Regulatory Proficiency: Proven success navigating state oversight, regulatory audits, incident management frameworks, and Medicaid compliance standards.
• Core Skills: Mastered capability in population health strategy, data interpretation, crisis navigation, and high-level stakeholder management.
