Job Description: We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Hygienist to join our team of school-based dental providers. The ideal candidate will have experience working with pediatric patients and a passion for promoting oral health education. As a School-Based Hygienist with Healthy Smiles, you will have the opportunity to deliver preventive and restorative dental services to children in school settings, fostering a positive dental experience and promoting lifelong oral health habits.

Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive dental screenings to pediatric patients in school-based settings.

Perform preventive dental services such as cleanings, fluoride treatments, and dental sealants.

Educate students, parents, and school staff on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental care.

Ability to travel within specific locations including NYC, Rockland County, Suffolk County and other locations in NY State, to provide dental services at various school locations.

Must be able to pass a background check, including fingerprinting, in accordance with state and federal regulations.

Qualifications:

Hygienist degree from an accredited dental school.

Experience working with pediatric patients preferred.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children and their families.

Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
