Prevocational Coordinator
Location: New City, NY
Salary: $57,000
An OPWDD agency is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Prevocational Coordinator to oversee and manage prevocational programs aimed at supporting individuals with developmental disabilities in achieving their employment goals. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a passion for empowering individuals, and the ability to work collaboratively with staff and participants.
Responsibilities
Coordinate and oversee prevocational programs, ensuring they align with OPWDD standards and individual service plans.
Develop and implement strategies to support participants in acquiring workplace skills.
Collaborate with participants, families, and staff to create and monitor individualized goals.
Maintain accurate documentation of participant progress and program activities.
Ensure compliance with OPWDD regulations and guidelines.
Conduct staff training and provide ongoing support to ensure effective program delivery.
Liaise with community partners to develop opportunities for participants to engage in vocational activities.
Qualifications
Experience working in an OPWDD program or related field preferred.
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain attention to detail.
Knowledge of OPWDD prevocational services is a plus.
