An established Medical Pediatric Practice in Boro Park seeking to hire a F/T Referral Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be detailed oriented, demonstrates superior customer services skills, play a crucial role in coordinating patient referrals and ensuring accurate documentation and have a background in a medical office.
Responsibilities:
-Processing referral requests accurately and timely
-Obtains insurance referrals
-Verify insurance coverage
-Schedules referral appointments and verifies that the patient has received all recommended aspects of care, as directed by the Provider
-Acts as a liaison between the referring provider, patient, provider specialists, and health plans
-Utilizes established documentation system for tracking referrals related to specialty services
-Obtain prior authorizations for medication, diagnostic imaging and out of network providers
