About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Product Designer with a strong background in consumer product development. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of product design experience, preferably within housewares, home goods, or consumer retail categories. This role works cross-functionally with merchandising, factories, and buyers to turn concepts into production-ready products.

Key Responsibilities

• Concept & CAD Development:

Create detailed CAD drawings, sketches, and renderings to bring product concepts to life.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Work closely with the merchandising team to understand assortment needs, design direction, and timelines.

• Presentation & Deck Building:

Prepare polished design decks and presentation materials for buyer meetings and internal line reviews.

• Factory Coordination:

Communicate design requirements to factories, iterate on samples, and ensure manufacturability and alignment with cost targets.

• Tech Pack Creation:

Build complete and accurate product tech packs, including dimensions, materials, features, finishes, and packaging details.

• Product Development Follow-Through:

Track revisions, maintain version control, and ensure smooth transition from design to production.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in product design (housewares, home goods, or consumer retail preferred).

• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Fusion 360, Rhino) and Adobe Creative Suite.

• Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and product engineering basics.

• Ability to create visually compelling presentations for both internal teams and external buyers.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with merchandising, sourcing, and factory partners.

• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
