Job Description

Ezra Medical Center is looking for an experienced and compassionate Nursing Director to lead and manage our team of nurses and clinical support staff. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background, excellent organizational skills, and proven leadership abilities. This role is responsible for delivery of high-quality patient care and operations of our clinical services, including the clinical laboratory, compliance with healthcare regulations and effective use of the EMR platform. The Nursing Director will play a key role in driving quality improvement initiatives, enhancing the patient experience, and supporting professional development for clinical staff.

 

Key Responsibilities:

1.      Leadership and Management:

•      Oversee the daily operations of the nursing and clinical support staff. 

•      Collaborate with physicians, providers, and the administrative team to develop programs to improve patient needs and promote preventive care, chronic disease management, and health education.

 

•      Develop, implement, and evaluate policies and procedures that align with FQHC standards and regulatory requirements.

2.      Operational Oversight:

•      Manage day-to-day clinical operations, including scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation.

•      Oversee patient triage, intake, and follow-up processes, ensuring they are handled effectively and in a timely manner.

•      Monitor compliance with healthcare regulations, policies, and standards.

3.      Quality Improvement:

•      Monitor performance metrics and clinical outcomes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.

•      Conduct regular audits of documentation in NextGen EMR, ensuring accuracy and compliance with clinical guidelines and federal regulations.

4.      Staff Development and Training:

•      Interview and train nursing staff, fostering a culture of professional growth and development.

•      Conduct performance evaluations and implement professional development plans for the nursing team.

5.      Communication and Interpersonal Skills

•      Act as a key point of contact between nursing staff, physicians, patients, and their families.

•      Address concerns and resolve conflicts within the team with professionalism and sensitivity.

•      Promote a culture of open communication, collaboration, respect and growth.

 

 

Qualifications:

•      Education: BSN required; MSN or relevant advanced degree preferred.

•      Experience: Minimum 5 years of nursing experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role, preferably in an FQHC or similar outpatient setting.

•      Licenses and Certifications: Current state RN license. 

•      Technical Skills: Proficient in NextGen EMR and other healthcare software; knowledge of FQHC-specific regulatory requirements and quality standards.

•      Competencies: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills; adept at managing clinical and administrative tasks in a high-paced environment.
