Job Title: Mashgiach/Manager for Kosher Butcher Shop

Location: Forest Hills, NY (Queens)

Hourly Rate: $28-30/hour

Hours: 12 hours/day, up to 65-70 hours/week (Sunday through Friday)

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Mashgiach/Manager to oversee daily operations of our Glatt Kosher butcher shop. This is a full-time role with significant responsibility, requiring someone who is both detail-oriented and highly motivated.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the store’s mashgiach, ensuring compliance with all kashrut standards and maintaining a fully kosher environment.
• Manage daily operations, including overseeing staff, inventory, and scheduling.
• Provide exceptional customer service and address customer inquiries or concerns professionally.
• Ensure the shop is clean, organized, and operating efficiently.
• Monitor and replenish inventory, ensuring freshness and quality standards are met.
• Collaborate with the team to maintain a positive and productive work environment.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in a kosher butcher shop or food establishment is a plus.
• Must speak English fluently, and fluency in Hebrew and/or Russian is strongly preferred.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills.
• Ability to work long hours (12-hour shifts) with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
