Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented IT Manager to oversee and manage the technology infrastructure across multiple businesses, including an office environment of 25 workers and a healthcare facility with 100+ computers. This role requires a strong understanding of healthcare IT, HIPAA compliance, and experience with general IT support, cybersecurity, and systems integration.

The IT Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of all IT systems, safeguarding sensitive data, and maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations.

Key Responsibilities

General IT Management

• Oversee the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, servers, and networks for all locations.

• Manage software installations, updates, and licensing for office and medical facility systems.

• Provide technical support to employees, addressing hardware, software, and network issues promptly.

• Develop and deliver IT training programs for staff to enhance digital literacy and security awareness.

• Maintain an accurate inventory of IT assets, including computers, peripherals, software licenses, and warranties.

• Manage procurement and vendor relationships for hardware, software, and IT services.

• Plan and implement system upgrades, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.

• Develop scalable IT solutions to support business growth and new projects.

Healthcare IT Management

• Ensure all IT systems and processes comply with HIPAA regulations and other healthcare standards.

• Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities.

• Manage the installation, configuration, and maintenance of EHR systems.

• Provide support for EHR-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime and data integrity.

• Implement and maintain robust cybersecurity measures to protect patient data.

• Oversee data backup and disaster recovery plans for the healthcare facility.

• Integrate medical devices with IT systems for streamlined workflows and accurate data collection.

• Coordinate with third-party vendors for software and device compatibility.

Network and Cybersecurity

• Monitor and maintain LAN, WAN, and wireless networks for optimal performance.

• Troubleshoot and resolve network issues promptly to minimize downtime.

• Develop and enforce IT security policies and procedures.

• Conduct regular security audits and penetration testing to ensure system resilience.

• Manage firewall, antivirus, and anti-malware solutions for all systems.

• Develop and execute incident response plans for IT breaches or failures.

• Provide detailed reports on incidents and implement measures to prevent recurrence.

Leadership and Strategy

• Supervise any IT support staff or contractors, ensuring high performance and accountability.

• Collaborate with management to align IT goals with organizational objectives.

• Identify emerging technologies and recommend their integration to improve operations.

• Ability to assist with automations and digitalizing systems and processes.

• Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions.

• Maintain comprehensive documentation of IT systems, policies, and procedures.

• Prepare regular reports on IT performance, compliance, and project status for management.

Qualifications

• Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CCNA, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, etc.).

• 5+ years of experience in IT management, preferably in a multi-business or healthcare setting.

• Proven experience with HIPAA-compliant IT systems and EHR software.

• Strong background in network administration, cybersecurity, and IT project management.

Skills

• In-depth knowledge of Windows, MacOS, and Linux operating systems.

• Proficiency in networking technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, VPN, DNS, DHCP).

• Expertise in cybersecurity tools and best practices.

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Basic low voltage experience preferred
